PennyWise Thrift Store
Located in Grace Family Center at 2443 Commerce Boulevard in Mound, Minnesota, PennyWise Thrift Store is a non-profit thrift store filled with gently used men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, shoes, jewelry, housewares, sporting goods, home decor and more. PennyWise gratefully receives donations from our Community for PennyWise sales or forwards to our partners according to best use and need, minimizing environmental impact through re-use and recycling and maximizing the generosity of each donation.

Monday: 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Tuesday: 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Wednesday: 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Thursday: 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Friday: 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
PennyWise is CLOSED Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Ash Wednesday, Easter Weekend, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day. Call or check our Facebook page for holiday store hours updates.Location

Donations are accepted during all open hours.
Please no dumping. We are a small store and the cost of processing items that we cannot sell reduces the charitable funds we forward to our community.
Tax deduction receipts are available as well as a discount coupon for PennyWise shopping for all donations. If you would give a donation referral to a friend or family member, we appreciate your generosity!
We ask that all donations are clean, odor free and in working order.

About Donating to PennyWise:
- All donations must be brought inside the store during store hours. Do not leave donations outside the PennyWise store door.
- All non-clothing donations should be packed in a box or tote.
- All clothing donations should be packed in a sturdy bag or box. Each bag, box or individual item may not exceed 40 lbs.
- Donation containers cannot be returned.

Volunteers are the heartbeat of PennyWise Thrift Store! We are looking for joyful people to join our Volunteer community.
As a volunteer at PennyWise you can:- sort in-coming donations
- assign prices to donated items
- stock items in the thrift shop
- operate the cash register
- provide quality customer service

Volunteer Application

The PennyWise Thrift Store team and management appreciate your interest and time applying for a volunteer position. Listed below are the easy steps to start the application process. Please, review the information below.
- Those interested in volunteering may pick up an application at the store or drop off a completed physical copy of the application and code of conduct.
PDFs will open for you in a new tab to quickly view, download, and print.- Volunteers must be 18 years old, unless accompanied by an adult. Young people with a chaperone are welcome!
- Complete the application which includes providing two personal references.
- Read the Volunteer Code of Conduct. Signing the application indicates your agreement to abide by the Code of Conduct.
- The PennyWise store manager will check your references and call you to discuss available volunteer shift options.
- During your first scheduled shift you will be given a tour of the store and asked to read the PennyWise store procedures.
- All new volunteers start by working in the sorting and pricing room. On the job training provided by the shift leader or tenured workroom volunteers.
