Join us in welcoming our new Elementary Faith Formation Director – Molly Jones!
Hello! My name is Molly Jones. I am joining the Parish Staff as the Faith Formation Coordinator and will be working with students in 1st – 8th Grade. I am excited about taking on this new role and look forward to growing our Faith Formation Program at Our Lady of the Lake and bridging together our School and Church families.
I went to Catholic school through 6th Grade at St. Andrew in Elk River, and graduated from Blaine High School. From there I went on to get my Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education from Concordia College in Moorhead. After graduating, I knew I wanted to teach in a Catholic school, and taught for five years at Holy Trinity in South St. Paul and for two years at St. Tim’s in Maple Lake.
I found my home with OLL 10 years ago, when I started our Band Program and throughout the 10 years have continued to teach Band, Elementary General Music Classes, and run our Library program. I will continue to teach Band and run our Library program this coming school year. Another joy for me is accompanying our Church Choir at weekend Masses.
We joined the parish in 2010 when my husband, Mike, went through the RCIA program. Our daughter, Lucy, will be in 5th Grade at OLL and loves competing in gymnastics. Our son, Vincent, will be in 3rd Grade at OLL and enjoys playing hockey. Both of our children received the sacraments of Baptism and First Communion at OLL and have attended school here since Preschool.
I’m excited to get to know more of our parish members and continue to help the young children of our parish grow in their faith journey!
