This is Michelle Boris’ last week with OLL! Join us in saying goodbye and wishing her all the luck in her new adventure!

It is with a bittersweet heart that I am announcing I have accepted a position as the Visit Coordinator with Common Hope, a nonprofit in St. Paul which strives to end poverty in Guatemala. I fell in love with this cause through our work with the San Lucas Mission here at OLL, and I will be forever thankful for that. My last day at OLL will be on June 16.

I am so grateful to the OLL community for my experiences here over the last four years. Thank you for welcoming me into your lives and homes, for praying with and for me, and for all you have done to support our youth. Middle and high schoolers, thank you for allowing me to learn and grow alongside you. Thank you for challenging me to do better, to be holier, and to lead by example. You are not just the future of the Church, you are the Church right now and you have amazing things to offer. To paraphrase one of my favorite saints, Edith Stein, the world doesn’t need what you have, it needs what you are.

Thank you to all the parishioners, the staff, and the dedicated youth ministry volunteers for all of your support. This is such a special, generous community and I am so honored to have been a part of it. I know that God has great things in store for all of you, and I am excited to hear about them. It has been my joy and my privilege to have served all of you as the Youth Minister. You will all be greatly missed as I move into this next chapter of my life. Please feel free to stay in touch. Be assured of my prayers and please continue to pray for me. I wish you all grace, love, and peace.

In Christ,
Michelle Boris, Youth Minister
