Faith Formation Classes for Grades 1 – 5 meet this Wednesday, October 23rd, from 6:30 – 7:45pm in their Classrooms. Parents are invited to join their 3rd Grade children for a special event during class!
The First Reconciliation Parent Meeting is Wednesday, November 6th, from 6:30 – 7:30pm. If your child is in 2nd Grade or above and has not yet received this sacrament, please contact Kathy at (952) 472-8202.
Our next Loaves and Fishes event is on Tuesday, November 12th. If you would like to join the group from OLL to serve a meal to the clients at St. Gabriel’s in Hopkins, contact Kathy at firstname.lastname@example.org.
A VIRTUS Session is scheduled at OLL on Thursday, November 14th, at 6:00pm. All volunteers who work with youth are required to attend a VIRTUS Session, complete a background check, and sign a Code of Conduct. To register for the session, contact Kathy at email@example.com.

Middle School Faith Formation will not meet on Oct. 23rd, since we will be taking a Field Trip to the Ignite Middle School Youth Rally at St. John the Baptist in Savage. Those who did not register for this optional event will not meet. We will resume our regular schedule on Oct. 30th. Parents, the Education Night in conjunction with OLL School is on Nov. 6th, at 6:30pm. There will be a parent track and a youth track as we watch the video Screenagers about growing up in the digital age. See you there!
— IGNITE Middle School Youth Series: For those who registered, don’t forget that Ignite is this Wednesday, Oct. 23rd. We will meet in the OLL Gathering Space at 5:00pm and depart no later than 5:15. We will return around 9:15pm. See you there!
— EDGE Middle School Youth Group: Join us for a Halloween-themed Edge Youth Group on Oct. 27th! We’ll talk about the Catholic ties to Halloween, eat dinner, play some Halloween-themed games, & much more! All 6th – 8th graders welcome! No registration necessary, but please respond to the Evite online so we can get an accurate count for dinner. Cost: $5 suggested donation to help cover dinner and supplies.
Archdiocesan Youth Day High Schoolers in Grades 9-12 are invited to celebrate our Catholic faith at Archdiocesan Youth Day on Nov. 16th. Join Archbishop Hebda & Bishop Andrew Cozzens in the spirit of faith & fun. AYD is like World Youth Day, but local! It will feature Mass, opportunities for Reconciliation & Eucharistic Adoration, speakers, men’s & women’s sessions, activities & service projects, and dinner. Event is from 1:30pm – 9:00pm at St. Thomas Academy in Mendota Heights. We’ll leave around Noon and be back by about 10:00pm. Cost: $30 to cover participation, dinner & transportation. Youth Band We are currently seeking 6th – 12th grade vocalists and 9th – 12th grade musicians to join in leading music at 10:30am Mass once a month. You only need to commit to one month at a time. Just check the bulletin for upcoming Masses, and then email us at least a week in advance to receive a lineup of songs & music to learn ahead of time. We’ll meet at 8:00am the morning of the Mass to rehearse as a group. Our next Mass is on Nov. 17th. Be sure to include what instruments you play (if you’re in high school) or if you want to be a vocalist, and please also copy a parent on your email.
Lifeline Mass — Do you want to see the young Catholic Church ALIVE? Join 1,000 young people on Saturday, Nov. 2nd, for Lifeline Mass at the NET Center with special guest Fr. Mike Schmitz! With contemporary music, energetic crowds, and powerful presentations, Lifeline gives 8th – 12th graders the chance to experience the beauty of Mass with their peers. Fr. Mike will be celebrating Mass and speaking on the Lesser-Known Last Judgment and the Last Four Things. OLL’s group will be going with St. Hubert’s in Chanhassen. We will meet there at 3:30pm and stop for dinner along the way. We will be back to St. Hubert’s around 10:00pm. Tickets required ($5) and spots are limited. WINTERBLAST An overnight lock-in with hundreds of other 6th – 8th graders from the Archdiocese & you’re invited! Join us Dec. 13th – 14th for a lock-in filled with faith, fun & food. We will start with Mass at St. Vincent de Paul and then go to the Maple Grove Community Center where you get to choose from swimming, skating, movies, sports, face painting, raffles, Eucharistic Adoration, pizza & much more! Cost is $40 & covers transportation to and from OLL. Bus leaves OLL at 6:30pm on Friday, Dec. 13th and arrives back about 6:15am on Saturday, Dec. 14th. Permission slips & payment due Nov. 11th. Adults & teens are invited to attend as Chaperones & Teen Leaders. Teens must be in 10th grade or above and commit to attending Teen Leader Training on the afternoon of Sunday, Dec. 8th, as well as the entirety of the event.
