Bible Study:  The Bible and the Virgin Mary: Lesson 5 – The Ark of the New Covenant
In this lesson, we study how Mary was the Ark of the New Covenant in that God “overshadowed” her in the
conception of Jesus, just as God “overshadowed” the Ark that Moses built to house the Ten Commandments. The Ark contained the written Word of God; Mary contained Jesus, the incarnate Word of God. Come and explore the many similarities in each of these events on Tuesday, July 3rd, at 1:30pm in the Church Library.   add this to my calendar

Bible Study: The Bible and the Virgin Mary: Lesson 6 – Born of a Virgin
One of the dogmas (official teaching) of the Catholic Church is that Mary was “ever-virgin.” She had no other children. As she was conceived without sin, she was spiritually united with God. She was the mother of Jesus, both in His humanity and in His divinity – the two natures of Jesus cannot be separated. It is one of the great mysteries of the Church which was foretold in the Old Testament. Learn more about this on Tuesday, July 10th, at 1:30pm in the Church Library.   add this to my calendar
