Fifth Grade Math



Fifth grade are working hard on creating games to play using fractions.

7th Grade Language Arts

The 7th Graders are diagramming, writing poetry and personifying punctuation! Their schedule is: Mondays:  Grammar Tuesday:  Literature and Vocab Wenesday: Literature and Vocab, part 2 Thursday:  Writer's Workshop Friday: Spelling We will follow follow this schedule in a variety of ways!

7th Graders wrote biography sketches and made "bio cubes" of their person's life.

Science

Seventh grade is learning about the different Kingdoms (bacteria, protists, fungi, plants, and animals).  They will be learning how the organisms survive and adapt to thier environments, as well as how they affect humans.

Sixth graders are learing about physical and chemical properties.  We'll also be looking into physical and chemical changes.  The students will be exploring the world around them to hypothesize how changes have occured.

Fifth grade has started their Earth Science unit.  Currently they are studying the different types of rocks and minerals, and how the rock cycle works.  They are also learninga bout soil and the effects humans have on it.
